Our Dilemma is a strange one...we live in Europe outside Europe.

Our dilemma is a strange one. We live in Europe outside Europe. We need to realise that we have a role to play and a duty to fulfill as a parent before it is too late.I am completely shocked and totally dismayed how we have two extremes when it comes to the marriages/relationships of our children. We send them to the most modern Universities, allow them to be in an environment full of extremely secular and anti-God individuals and all this without any checks or balance. We suddenly receive a wake-up call when we find out our child is having a relationship and we go mad about it without acknowledging that this was our own fault.Without going back to our Islamic sources (Qur'an an Sunnah) for guidance on this which clearly says that there is no better solution than Nikah for two people loving each other. DISTURBING RESULTS:
Sisters are living with their 'boyfriends' without any Nikah.
In many cases these 'boyfriends' are non-Muslims.
Many sisters are pregnant or have children through these relationships.
Many children are disowned by their family (remember that there is no such thing in Islamic Law where you can disown your child. He/she still inherits from the parents and the relationship with the parents still exists).
Many sisters are above 30 years of age and there is little hope for them to marry, as there is no-one in the so-called 'caste' as a 'match' for them and the parents won't allow them to marry anyone out of the caste/sect/beradri. Where is the Islamic tarbiyyah/education? Where is our responsibility as parents? To find an answer:
What relationship do we have with our own children?
Look at the Prophet SAW's relationship with Fatima RA! Subhanallah, a profoundly beautiful and exemplary relationship. I will be addressing these issues in the coming Jumu'aas/Friday sermons, and would like people to help me raise any issue, concern or solution and convey it to the parents/community on Jumu'aas, inshallah
